Roommate Harassment

TLDR: I found out that my roommate was a SO, he got physically and verbally violent, recorded me without my consent. Told the landlords and they did nothing. I moved out in order to protect myself. Will I be sued for rent?
For the past two months, I’ve been navigating the roommate from hell. In September, I was running a report on myself and discovered that my roommate did not disclose his status as a registered s*x offender, with an extremely violent history of abuse. We had a pretty decent relationship to this point so I asked him why he didn’t disclose this information to me throughout the 1.5 years that I had been living there. At that point, he started verbally threatening me. Saying that he was the master tenant of our lease and that he could put me out at anytime. I didn’t react and he lunged at me, nearly knocking me to the floor and breaking dishes that were in my hands. I immediately contacted our landlords who said that they would “look into” the situation. Weeks pass with no response from the landlords.
During this time, I discover hidden cameras in our kitchen and my roommate continues to restrict access to certain parts of the home (locking our smart thermostat so I can’t adjust the temperature in my room, hiding shared house items like salt and trash bags, locking me out of the house). I continue to report this behavior to the landlords and they continue to ignore me. At this point it’s the end of October and I’ve been living in constant anxiety. I start the process of moving out to maintain my physical and emotional safety.
It’s now November. I’ve completely moved out, paid my rent for November. My question is…do I have any legal standing if my landlords decide to sue for the remaining rent on my lease?
