Put On Administrative Leave For A Vendor Vending Machine Issue. Can They Fire Me? And If So Can I Sue Them?

Ok for some background: at my job there is this vending machine that, most of the time, if you put money in it it will give you two items and give your money back. This is an issue with the machine that I have told to Loss Prevention before. So, recently one of my coworkers was put on leave because someone told that she knew about it and was always getting two items from the vending machine. She mentioned my name while they were interviewing her so they brought me in to interview me. This machine has been doing this for about a year now and like I said ive told LP before. Also I figured that the vendor would have noticed that the supply and amount of money did not match. So I was honest with them and said that I had been given more than one item before but I didnt know that it was an actual issue with the machine at the time and whenever I noticed that it did that with everyone that used the machine I stopped using it. Well since I did it a long time ago they put me on administrative leave also. I am worried that they will fire me for this, but the thing is that everyone knows about the machine doing that and they have many other people on camera doing it, but the thing is that someone actually said my coworkers name and got her in the hot seat for it. If they fire us for something that pretty much everyone in the building has done and benefited from can we get legal help for it?
