More Adventures In Dealing With Housefire Aftermath. Property Was Sold. Finally Got Paperwork Filed A Couple Weeks Ago. City Sent Me A Notice That The House Is On The Demo List. But I'm Not The Owner Anymore.

Will they be able to put a lien in my name if it gets to that point? I contacted them but of course the City Officer isn't in his office, per usual. The property was sold to a contracter who was supposed to start teardown in Feburary while we were waiting for the title to clear. He did not. He purchased it the middle of March after giving me the run around. He did not file the paperwork, and proceeded to lose it. We redid everything a few weeks ago, it's all filed and squared away. I actually got the County Accessor's paperwork to fill out today.
Do I have anything to worry about? Should I keep calling until they make it clear to me they understand it's not my property anymore? Is it still my headache even though it's been sold with the understanding the house needs to go down on a timeline that has already passed?
Edit: Deed is filed and ownership transferred. The Accessor just needs to know for tax information and records. It's just bonus paperwork.
State is Nebraska. I forgot to type that.
