Manager Sexually Assaulted Me

Hi everyone. I recently reported to my HR department and to the police that my manager sexually assaulted me. Happened about two weeks ago. I was driving home from work, he asked if I wanted a glass of wine, he lived close by so I decided to stop by, I drank a little bit of wine and then just don’t remember anything. I woke up in his bed with him spooning me. I ran out of the house. My bra was unstrapped and my nipple felt like someone tried to bite it off. It hurt for 3 days after. I also found hickies all over my neck. When I went home, in the bathroom, I found my underwear inside out. I have no idea what happened.

In the next days , I received text messages of him apologizing and asking me over and over not to be mad at him. I have photos of my neck from the day it happened. He called me off work that day I ran out of the house.

I had to miss a bit over a weeks worth of work because of marks he left on me. He gave me money for the days I missed. I accepted it. Can I get in trouble for taking the money from him? In the texts, that I sent to police, he asked me what can I do to help? And I said “you can pay me for the work I missed.”

What are the next things I should expect after reporting the sexual assault? It’s all been really traumatizing and I didn’t report it right away. I couldn’t process anything and sat in my house severely depressed and anxious.

In regards to my work, they did fire him. Is my work still involved in this case?
