Los Angeles. Old Roommate Owes Us Money. Considering Taking Them To Small Claims Court. Help

I am in los angeles. I am owed $500+ in rent and my other roommate is owed $200 in bills by a scammer. My roommate and I are on the actual lease but the scammer roommate was not. the scammer lived with us for a few months and she owes us money. She hasn’t paid it in 2+ months. I have it in writing (text messages) of her promising to pay it back “soon” but she still hasn’t. I need that money and she is also storing her stuff in our garage for free. She promised she would pay us back and get her stuff within a few days of her moving out. It’s been 2+ months and me and my roommate going to move out of that place. I feel like we should be owed interest for the money she’s late on and we should be paid for storing her stuff in our garage.

How do we go about suing her in small claims? Do we have a case? The biggest issue is that I don’t have her new address and don’t know her exact government name.

She’s also 30s+ when me and my roommate are in our 20s. It just seems really unfair and I feel very taken advantage of. I want justice.
