Looking For Insight On Possible Mortgage Fraud

Hi need some advice/insight - I recently purchased a home in FL. Closed on the property in April of 2024. June 1st was the date for the first payment and I had autopay set up. While reviewing all my monthly 1st of the month payments I noticed the mortgage never came out. Checked my online mortgage portal and the payment was posted from a bank account which is not mine. In addition, the payment says only $100 of the payment went towards the principal. Called the mortgage lender and they referred me to the fraud department. I was then told my mortgage has been under investigation by the FBI since March of 2024 which is before I even closed. Has anyone heard of anything like this? The fraud department didn’t have much else to say and said they’d call back when there’s more information.
