Jurisdiction Over A Child

Card image cap

So I’ve been dating a girl for the past several months. She had a child with a man who was in the military. He is stationed in Hawaii and my gf and her child lived there for about a year. They filed for divorce and agreed to child support terms on their own instead of court enforced. She got a letter saying that their divorce was denied on the terms of their child support agreement. She doesn’t want to go back to Hawaii to refile for divorce. This has already been going in for some time. What can we do to quickly finalize their divorce so she doesn’t have to return to Hawaii? Does a state have jurisdiction over a child in a divorce making it the only state you can file in? Is there anything else we aren’t thinking of? Thanks.
