Jail Won’t Provide Me With Paperwork Of Time I Was Released. Can I Sue?

I was arrested in Berkeley, California for DUI. I’ve already beaten myself up about the poor decision making that night and have bettered myself to the point that I see getting my DUI as a blessing. (Don’t get one). I lost my job because of this due to “time fraud”. My job said that when I called in sick, I was in jail and not actually sick. This is far from the truth. I’ve been down to the jail a minimum of 5 times writing a records request and each time the letter came back saying that CHP has that because CHP were the ones who arrested me. I went over to CHP and they said the jail had it. A few months later, I turn in the rest of my paperwork showing I finished my DUI class into the courthouse and they have the time but they can’t print it out because it’s “out of their hands” I call up CHP and they have the time but tell me they can’t provide it on paper and to go to the DA’s office. I go to the DA’s office and they can’t provide me with the information and to go back to the jail and keep asking them. I’ve tried to be nice. All I want is the time I was released from jail on paper that way I can get my job back. I’m getting the run around for something that is so simple to print out ESPECIALLY if it has MY name on it. I feel like my civil rights are being violated.
