I Work In A Restaurant, The Ac Has Been Busted For Years. It’s 90f Outside, And Nothing Is Being Done. Do I Have Any Legal Actions Here?
This is in Mississippi, it’s not a very big restaurant, but it is a chain. I’m not exactly familiar with legal stuff as I’ve always just been a cook. The grills are at 450F and the four eye burner gets incredibly hot, etc etc. not to mention how absolutely HOT it gets in the dish washing station and sanitizer. it’s 90F outside, the humidity is killer, and we are all sweating our asses off, with some employees struggling to walk around the store. This happens all the time during the summer and I’m just wondering if there’s any way I can force their hand to at least get the AC fixed or something this year. I’m not trying to sue their pants off, I really just want everyone here to not die from a heat stroke. Thank you.
