I'm Primary, My Gf Is Co-signer. Can I Request Repossession Without Her?

Basically I helped my now ex gf get a car a few years ago by agreeing to co-sign with her. Since I had good credit at the time and she did not, it worked out better for me to be primary and her to be co-signer instead of the other way around.
She has never kept up the payments, always late, gets really defensive and angry when I try to bring it up... my credit is trashed now.
We broke up last night (for all sorts of reasons not pertaining to this) and now she's texting me that she doesn't want the car anymore and she's not going to pay for it. Honestly I'd rather call the bank and tell them I can't afford the payments and as the primary on the loan I'd like to put in a voluntary repossession request. Can I do this without involving her since she is only a co-signer? This is my main question. I know that if neither one of us pays, eventually it will be repossessed anyway, but that is my question because I'd rather just make the phone call or go sign a form.
Thanks
