Grandmas Staying In The Freezer Because Sibling Can’t Agree On Burial Date, California.

Card image cap

Grandma had 6 kids, 5 surviving. 4 kids agree to get grandma in the ground ASAP, 5/2/24. One child will be on vacation and would like to keep grandma in a freezer until 5/6-7/24 when she gets back from vacation. We are Mexican, my grandmother has 21 direct grandkids, there’s practically a migration coming this way, flights, train tickets, visas, bus tickets, maybe even burros have been booked. My mother (oldest child) has been receiving call after call that it’s already been too long since my grandmother died, she needs to be in the ground. Rose hills (a cemetery and burial factory) will not proceed without a unanimous decision. What can we do? Grandma had made funeral arrangements prior to be buried between her husband and youngest (deceased) son, but nothing mentions timeframe.
