Got Married In Chile With "bienes Separados". Looking For Divorce In Florida, Usa
Will Florida recognize our official marriage in Chile with bienes separados? We got married in Chile and accordingly to Chilean law nothing gets divided during a divorce. When you marry you can choose to mesh everything together or keep.everything independent. I have a fully paid off condo and car in Florida under my name. Husband cheated on me for 4 years. Hes agreed to let me have full custody of the kids too because he has an addiction and he is renting a tiny room. Im just worried that Florida will try to go the 50/50 route. He was also cheating on me when we filled out the whole spouse visa with USCIS. I feel like the marriage was fraud.
