Girlfriend Who Lives With Me Now Has Order Of Protection Not To Come To My House. Can I Move Her Stuff Out?

Card image cap

My girlfriend ended up screwing up very badly and got her kid taken away. She is now not allowed to come to the home of my daughter (my house) which seems like will be enforced for a year with good behavior. I want her out of my house and to never come back. I am the owner. She never paid rent. She’s lived with me for about 6 months. So I would imagine she has some legal rights. But she is legally not allowed in the house for now.

What can I do to ensure she will never try to come back in, if or when the order of protection expires?

She has all her stuff in my house still. Can I just move it to a storage unit for say 3 months and give her an opportunity to either get it or pay for the unit? I want to get all her stuff out, so she has no reason to come back.

I physically can’t talk to her where she is right now anyway. But I imagine she will not be a reasonable person in trying to figure out what to do with her stuff. I just need to take action. But I want to do it legally. I live in New York.
