Fired In Retaliation To My Husband Quitting

My husband and I worked for a small company. My husband had a falling out with his boss after telling him he was burnt out and needed some time to decide if he could still work for him or if he needed to leave. He asked him to give him a week to figure it out. The company is small and my husband is the lead guy. This understandably pit the owner in a bind, but all he had to do was fill in for my husband and all would have been fine. He didn't, tho. ???? Meanwhile, I'm still in my position and not a part of the issues going on between my boss and husband. My job is in a completely different department and my job isn't the same. My boss proceeds to harass my husband every day about coming back. Usually at night after he had been drinking. A lot. It could get volatile and he was pretty nasty, unprofessional and borderline threatening. During one of these texts when my husband told him he needed more time, he fired me. He texted my husband and told him to tell me i was fired. He didn't tell me directly. I have not been formally fired to this day. My husband quit that night. This guy has sexually harassed me throughout my time here, shared his personal info including affairs he carried on in front of company members, showing nsfw photos to all coworkers and family members. He has ggressively and verbally berated any one that he saw as "doing him wrong". No one will work with him in town anymore. This is a mess. On top of this situation, he issues 1099 Misc for taxes, but I'm beginning to realize that he may have been mislabeling and misleading us as employees. We have been dependant upon him for weekly paychecks. He provides all necessary equipment and devices for the jobs and even gave the leaders a company vehicle. We have sick and vacation days. Looking this up at the labor department, it says we are actuality employees who should be getting taxes taken out of our checks. I'm ready to go scorched earth. What are my rights? We're in the south and it's an at will state. At the least I know i have retaliatory firing of myself, but what else can I throw at him? Can my husband go after him for the harassment? Anything I'm not thinking of or should do to protect myself? Thank you!
