Ebay Fraud Committed By A Lawyer Who Ironically Specializes In Fraud. I Am Filing A Fraud Claim With Ebay, A Police Report, And A Interstate Mail Fraud Claim With Usps. What Are My Options If He Comes At Me With A Legal Attack? Obviously He Doesn't Have T

I am a semi-retired Ebay seller of 25 years with over 4300 positive feedback. Buyer purchases a new power tool battery from us for 100.00. After 3 weeks, he files for a return, claiming it doesn't charge. We send him a pre-paid return label, informing him the battery will be tested and checked for alteration or swap prior to a refund being issued. Yesterday the battery arrives. It is a dirty, dinged, beat-up battery as opposed to the new battery we sent him. We check the serial number and it's not even close. Classic Ebay return fraud.
Having his name and address from the shipping label, I look him up online and believe it or not, he's the managing partner of a law firm that specializes in fraud litigation.
Why a high priced lawyer would bother to try to screw a small family business out of 100.00 is beyond me, but my question is: Seeing that he has an entire law firm at his disposal, how much trouble can he cause me?
I really can't afford a lawyer if he throws a nuisance lawsuit against me, but I'll be damned if I'll let some scumbag lawyer steal from us.
Any (legal and moral) advice would be greatly appreciated.
