Court And County Clerk Refuse To Provide Documentation Florida
Location: St. Lucie County Florida
The St. Lucie County Courts and County Clerks Office refuse to provide me with a dismissal document from a case in 2008. The prosecutor refused to proceed, it was NP, and on the clerk's website it says "closed"; however, they never uploaded an official dismissal. It's seventeen years later, and despite requesting this dismissal in person, over the phone, through their portal- they will not give me this document that I am legally entitled to have. The St. Lucie Sheriff's Department has failed to notify the FBI that the case was dismissed, and I cannot request they do so unless I have an official dismissal letter. If you are familiar with this county in Florida, then you know it's more corrupt than most outsiders will ever experience. How/who can I contact- do I proceed? I cannot afford a lawyer, so please do not suggest a lawyer- they cost thousands of dollars. I do not have thousands of dollars.
