Brand New House I Bought Is Basically A Lemon

Card image cap

I bought a new construction home in 2023, I saved up a lot and work really hard to bring my credit up to even be considered for the home. The problems started basically immediately though. Problems with the AC unit not cooling the house, the hot water heater broke 2 weeks in, the oven range not heating properly. Right now the AC unit upstairs in the attic is leaking into the guest bathroom and causing water damage to the bathroom ceiling. I have a warranty on the home and the builders keep coming back and fixing things but I mean I feel like it’s fucked that so much crap keeps breaking on me. Don’t get me wrong having a house is a blessing but at the same time if I didn’t have the warranty I’d be shit out of luck. In terms of legal advice I’m not so much looking for money or compensation but a way to continue to protect myself and my home once the warranty expires in September. I live in SC.
