Apartment Nightmare.
I have lived in my apartment less than a year. My lease ends in 2 months on july 11.
Since i moved in- the fridge has been replaced 2x. The water heater leaked and the floor has water under the fake wood tiles when i step in my kitchen or closet. Mold has ruined 50% of my clothes because of the leaking water heater as well, and maintenance is incompetent and keeps just vacuming out the water or spraying mold with bleach. We have had the water to the building shut off for entire days at a time because of water main issues. Today- i flushed my toilet and it started bubbling. Now there is sewage water coming out of the bathtub drain as a result.
Is there any recourse here or legal angle to get my lease terminated early with my deposit back? Or can i use these mountains of issues to guarantee a full deposit refund? Im honestly at a loss with this nightmare of an apartment and want out immediately or to be compensated in some way.
