Apartment Legality
Hello I was wondering about the laws and wanted to know what move I should make. The landlord has put out a notice on everyone's door that there will be an inspection any day in the next week and between 10am-6pm. Now I was thinking okay well that's illegal because I'll need a 24 hr notice for a specific date and time no?
But then another notice was put on my door specifically saying that because they've gotten noise and smell complaints of weed (which weed smoking is prohibited as stated in the lease) that from now on they will be allowed to make an unannounced inspection on any given day and time for the rest of my living here "if any further complaint is made". What should I do about this? If they suspect weed smoke (which I'm clear of now) do they have the right to automatically break the lease and make an eviction without proof?
Should I let them in and confront them politely in my home and get the inspection over with or should I refuse entry and make them give me a specific day? They already see us as devils ruining everyone's lives so im really not trying to create bad blood. So again what should I do?
Edit to add: I also understand this can be a redundant info request but the weed laws are changing dramatically right now and I would like some confirmation.
