Advice On My Son’s Surgery. Tx

Advice needed.
TX… Last September: my 16 year old son was diagnosed with testicular torsion. Original surgery date was to be December 28. However; his pain was happening more often and was excruciating. They were able to move surgery towards the end of September. No type of imaging is as requested y this doctor, diagnosis was based off symptoms and we were told we’d know after surgery if it in fact was the torsion. Surgery happened, I met up with the doctor and I asked if it was in fact the torsion. He said there’s no way to tell.
Pain continued for my son, just kept getting worse. Post surgery follow-up was in November. Doctor was surprised that the pain was still there, he prescribed him pain medicine and antibiotics just in case there was an infection. We scheduled another appointment early January before we left the office (I had to cancel this appointment). Prescriptions were taken, but didn’t help.
Throughout out this time I had been keeping my sons pcp up to date and asking for more assistance. We needed to know what was going on with my son.
I reached back out in January asking if she can submit an order for an MRI, as I couldn’t get it done without an order. I had also asked for a neurologist to possibly void out muscles/nerve injury. I thought perhaps he had damaged either one since he had been working out for about 1.5 years at this point.
February 5, mri of pelvis and lumbar is done.
February 6, received a call that my son actually had a tumor on his femoral head.
February 7, he was taken to the ER.
February 9, biopsy was performed.
February 20, got a call that it was benign, however; it’s a very aggressive tumor and needs to be completely removed. Ate up a good amount of his bone.
March 26, my son had a successful 6 hour long surgery. He has been recovering pretty good and has his “major” follow-up next month where they will do a ct scan to be sure everything is healing well. He hasn’t been able to put absolutely any weight on his left leg since February. Doctors and nurses were so impressed at how his hip didn’t break, due to it being so weak and putting pressure on his left leg.
Throughout all these months my son still attended school, limping, having mild to excruciating pain at any given time, with the most minimal movement, the pain would just trigger him. This pain though would happen so more often at night, which prevented him from sleeping well.
Also, when he had the first surgery in September, that same evening or next, I started searching for info on the torsion , and everything we saw said emergency surgery had to be done within 4-6 hours, or testicle could be lost. My son never had a swelling, color changing, testicles looked normal, just nothing abnormal in the area.
Is there anything legal I can do? It isn’t ok for misdiagnosis, let alone surgeries when it’s not 100% certain of what the issue is. How do you just perform surgeries based on assumptions…..?
Any advice is appreciated.
