**seeking Legal Advice: Issues With A Security Guard And False Accusations That The Security Guard Is Now Trying To Deny.**

I’m hoping anyone has legal advice or general guidance regarding a troubling experience I had with Blackbird Security. Here’s a detailed account of what transpired:
Quick Incident Overview: A security guard accused me of shoplifting and claimed there was photographic evidence. However, now denying making any accusations. The store should have video footage of me being accused and told my daughter and I are trespassing and there was also the “(witness) manager” present/is a witness to the accusations the security guard made.
Timeline of Events: I cannot recall the exact date, but I believe it was in the last week of February when I was accused of stealing. The security guard approached me while I was in line at the pharmacy and told me that my daughter and I were trespassing. I was as never warned / never told I can’t repress.. instead, the security went to get my daughter, who was in another aisle, and then confronted me, stating there was “three pictures of me stealing.”
So I requested to see the pictures and asked to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, the security guard could not produce the supposed images of me stealing. The only photo (that I didn’t get to see) the security could produced was one of me bending over in an aisle, which the manager rightly pointed out wasn’t evidence of theft. The security guard then claimed to have video footage of me making an obscene gesture, which I have not seen. I admitted that if I did that, it was wrong, and I apologized.
Ultimately, the situation concluded with the manager reassuring both my daughter and me that we were not banned or trespassed from the store, and expressed apologies for the incident.
Recent Incident: Fast forward to March 9, 2025. While I was not present, the same security guard approached my daughter while she was alone, told her she had to leave the store, despite her needing to pick up her medication from the pharmacy. As a result, she had to exit the store and go to her father, who was waiting in the car right outside the glass windows the security guard was standing in front of. Her father then went inside to retrieve her medication snd then speak with a manager(the security guard did not approach her father)
During his conversation with the manager, my daughter's father was informed that the store owner ultimately decides about banning individuals and that the security guard had issued a no-trespass order without any evidence of theft and that y daughter and I were allowed to be there and apologized.
During this time, I am on the way to the store to meet them and speak about this situation. I spoke with a different (from the original manager/manager my daughter’s father spoke with) manager about it this time. (For clarity, I’ll refer to this manager as “the manager” and the original manager as the “witness manager.”) To my shock, the security guard is now claiming to have never accused me of stealing, which contradicts what happened because it’s on camera, and there are witnesses, including the manager, pharmacy staff, and other customers who were present that day.
During this interaction, the manager reassured both my daughter and me that we were not banned or trespassed from the store on the store owner's behalf. However, the manager indicated that this might continue to happen because the security guards are employed by a separate company. I was advised that if I am approached again and told I’m trespassing, I should find a manager to resolve the situation.
However, I am uncomfortable with the idea of having to clear things up each time I visit the store. I fear being publicly accused again, especially in front of pharmacy staff and other customers.
My Concerns: I am extremely distressed by this situation. I already struggle with anxiety, particularly social anxiety. I love my pharmacy team and do not want to switch pharmacies, but I refuse to put myself and my daughter in these humiliating situations.
What Are My Options? I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on how to handle this situation legally with Blackbird Security company. What steps can I take to protect myself and my daughter and ensure that I can get my family’s medications and shop without fear of being humiliated or potentially wrongfully accused again by this security company for the store?
Thank you for your help, or for even taking the time to read this.
