(ma Real Estate) Friend's Mother Is Destroying Their House.

Hi, I'll try to keep this short and to the point.

About 2.5 years ago, my friend, their mother, and her sister each received an inheritance of about $130,000. The three of them came to a decision to pool that money and buy a house, as all of them have been renting and generally living in poverty and would likely never have another chance. They bought the house in cash for $300,000 and as far as I know are all named on the deed. The youngest daughter paid $120,000, the older daughter paid $110,000, and the mother paid $70,000. I believe both daughters were legally adults at the time of the purchase of the house.

The mother is a hoarder and a control freak and has mental health issues that she previously blamed on her living situation (divorce, moving out of a house, having too many possessions). She swore that she would not bring these issues into the shared house. That is turning out to be a lie. She is refusing to compromise and generally forcing the two children to relive childhood abuse. She has stacked the entire downstairs dangerously with boxes and bags of miscellany, and is now starting to move her stuff into the two daughters rooms, despite their protests.

What are their legal options for getting out of this situation/taking back control? Can the two kids force the sale of the house? Can they evict her? These things don't need to necessarily be set in motion but we need concrete threats, and we need to know exactly how much power they have in the situation, and how to effectively use that.

Thank you for help, please let me know if additional information is required.
