Do People Insult You For No Reason?
Just trying to find out if it's normal for people to insult autists on a semi regular basis.
For me, every month or so, a stranger in public will insult me for no reason. It usually happens while I am at work, but it happens elsewhere sometimes. I don't know these people, I've never done anything to them, but something about me makes them angry at me. Usually, they call me a r*tard but I've been called other things as well. It seems to come out of nowhere and is honestly kind of damaging to my mental health. I talked to my parents about this happening on a regular basis, and they are convinced that I'm hearing things. This type of shit is supposed to stop once you reach adulthood and leave high school but it's still happening to me and I feel powerless to stop it.
Im sorry if this sounds whiny but I don't have anywhere else to talk about this.
