In the big city, it's not uncommon to see homeless people panhandling on the street. While many would argue that unhoused people have become a bit of an eyesore or even an invisible social group, others feel compelled to help the people around them–especially if they've been in their shoes before.

The man in our next story was no stranger to homelessness and after a year of commuting past the same panhandler on the street, he finally decided to step up and take action to help him. With so many unknown factors–like substance abuse, mental health problems, and other causes of homelessness–it's always a tough bridge to cross, but for the original poster (OP) of our next story, it was a no-brainer to help his fellow man.

Scroll for the entire story of how an epically selfless gesture and $75 changed the course of a 37-year-old homeless man's entire life.
