- Fine jewelry pieces and cashmere sweaters are some clear signs of status to men in 2025.
- Many have also embraced expensive Loewe bags and luxury cologne.
- The fashion items all signify wealth and style to those around them.
Just like trends come and go, so do status symbols.
Last year, men were obsessed with Alo socks and Vuori shorts, but now they've embraced classic cashmere pieces and fine jewelry.
Some have also elevated their beauty routines with luxury cologne and their homes with matching candles.
Here's a look at those pieces and the other luxury items that have become popular among men this year.

We're in the middle of a men's jewelry resurgence.
Whereas watches were the ultimate accessory last year, men are now adding rings, bracelets, and necklaces to their looks.
Van Cleef and David Yurman are the "it" brands for the latter two categories, with men favoring silver chains with onyx stones from both designers.
Fashion influencers have also called attention to Spinelli Kilcollin and its linked rings, which cost between $290 and $31,000 each.

If you've tuned into any red carpet lately, you've likely seen countless male actors, musicians, and other stars wearing sparkling brooches.
Jeff Bezos, for example, recently wore a diamond-encrusted piece on his tuxedo lapel at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
It's not just celebrities wearing dazzling pins at fancy events, though. Designer brands are also pushing casual brooches that men can style on denim jackets, button-up shirts, and other everyday pieces.
Dior sells a $340 silver monogram brooch on its website, and Hermès has a variety of chain-shaped pins for $530.

GQ reported in the fall that Japanese fashion consistently has a "profound" impact on American menswear and is the go-to style inspiration for "cool guys."
In 2025, though, interest in Japanese brands seems to be growing.
On TikTok, young men are particularly interested in Visvim, a Japanese workwear brand known for its $805 hoodies, $995 backpacks, and $1,959 boots.
One successful finance professional also told Business Insider that he loves the Japanese denim brand 3sixteen, which sells $250 pairs of jeans.

The Los Angeles brand Chrome Hearts has been a staple of the fashion sphere since the late '80s, but members of Gen Z are obsessed with the brand as if it's new.
Whether it's videos of men buying their first pieces or showcasing their latest hauls, Chrome Hearts is all over TikTok.
It also helps that Timothée Chalamet, Troye Sivan, Alton Mason, and other cool-guy stars regularly wear the brand.
Chrome Hearts sells its products mostly through authorized independent retailers. It also lists a few pieces on its website for prices between $70 and $3,825.
However, its resale market is even bigger. Secondhand Chrome Hearts sunglasses cost around $500 each, necklaces can cost upward of $8,000, and rare collectible items like a branded truck are listed on websites like Grailed for $800,000.

The one thing every male fashion fan and influencer can seem to agree on this year is cashmere.
Some have been wearing the fabric in classic coat form, while others have invested thousands in Loro Piana sweaters. The Italian brand's garments cost between $925 and $20,000.
No matter the style or brand, though, cashmere pieces have effortlessly helped men transform office-ready outfits into classic, old-money looks.

Andrew Garfield, Teddy Swims, Law Roach, and Robert Downey Jr. all made a fashion statement in March with tinted sunglasses.
Designer brands did the same one month earlier. In February, Prada, Amiri, and Louis Vuitton sent models down their runways wearing glasses in blue, red, and orange shades.
So, for the rest of 2025, you can expect colorfully tinted sunglasses from high-end designers to be the ultimate status symbol.
Balmain sells $480 pairs, Dior sells the style for $580, and Gucci sells its own version for $625.
Le Labo
When BI spoke with successful men about their favorite fragrances, many of them were quick to highlight scents from Le Labo.
Santal 33 is the brand's most famous creation, though businessmen said they also like Thé Noir 29, Jasmin 17, and Another 13. Each bottle retails between $107 and $1,095.
Men have also started to bring the brand into their homes via its $105 candle set.

Loewe's Puzzle bag was a major fashion status symbol for women last year.
However, in 2025, men are taking over the trend. Many Fashion Week attendees have been spotted carrying the brand's tote bags, and fashion influencers on TikTok have been showing them off since the start of the year.
They're especially fond of the $1,250 Fold Shopper tote, $2,500 Cubi bag, and, of course, the $4,100 large Puzzle purse.
