Cavill found instant stardom when he was cast as Superman for Zack Snyder's 2013 movie "Man of Steel."
The movie would go on to make over $670 million worldwide, and though Cavill might have gotten a little taste of what the movie took in after all the money was counted, at the start, he received $300,000 upfront, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Not bad, as some who have put on superhero tights for the first time have recieved much less. Chris Hemsworth was paid just $150,000 for the first Thor movie.

There's no reputable reporting on how much Cavill earned playing the Man of Steel, but historically actors who play top-tier comic book characters take in up to eight-figure paydays, especially when they get deeper into playing the character. So we're pretty confident Cavill was paid well.
He also made a pretty penny to shoot a cameo in “Black Adam”![]()

Cavill took home $250,000 for his brief end credit appearance in "Black Adam," according to The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez. It would mark his final time having the S on his chest as Warner Bros. hired "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn to completely revamp its DC Comics franchise.
Gonzalez also noted that Cavill was paid another $250,000 for a deleted cameo in "The Flash."
So he made out pretty well during his time as Superman.

After taking in big box office bucks as Superman, Cavill headed over to Netflix and began making some serious money as the sword-swinging Geralt of Rivia in "The Witcher."
According to Variety, he brought in $400,000 per episode in the first season.

Things only got better for Cavill as the show became a hit. For season 2 his pay jumped to $1 million per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He exited the show after season 3.

Henry Cavill is the global ambassador and Chief Creative Officer of MuscleTech.

In 2021, Cavill joined the nutritional brand MuscleTech as its global ambassador and Chief Creative Officer.
He is also the spokesperson for the botanical drinks brand No.1 Botanicals (he also has a stake in the company), and you'll see him in ads for Boss Eyewear.
All those gigs likely also come with fat checks.

You wouldn't think a guy who plays big tough guys on screen would like something as delicate as painting small figurines, but Cavill does.
Numerous times over the years, on his Instagram, the star has showcased his work on his Warhammer miniatures.
And he's his own worst critic. Posting his work on this figurine he noted, "It's not amazing by any means, and the camera hides a multitude of sins, but this is a little work in progress of mine. I have a lot to improve upon."
It looks pretty impressive to us.
