Which Kind Of Coaching Business Should I Focus On?

Card image cap

I got a paid education in professional coaching coming up, and taking about two years part time.

As part of the education we’ll have to complete some coaching sessions, and I would like some input on which topics/areas I could focus on.

At the moment, I will use the education on my daily work as a team lead in a technical IT team. On the longer term I would like to start up some side business, and maybe go on with my own full time business at some point.

I have a M.Sc. in cyber security and around 20 years of working experience with cyber security. So, one obvious topic could be coaching small and medium businesses in cyber. It could also be coaching single CxO level persons in cyber, or students within the field in career coaching.

But I also write and talk and read a lot about personal finance, FIRE, investing, minimalism, simple living etc., so sort of life coaching with relaxation and money could also be a coaching direction.

Further I like fitness, cardio and strength training. I have some certificate in fitness training and another in dieting/healthy eating etc. I’d like to take further education within fitness as well later on. So that could also be a direction.

I am really open to opinions and input. Do you see any of those as more promising than other? Are the world full of life coaches or fitness coaches already? Could I do multiple of them under different brands?

Could/should I use my coaching education to investigate all the possibilities further? Try out to coach a few sessions of each? Something I have overlooked completely?
