Exynos 2600 is all set to be used in the Galaxy S26 series, and System LSI is finalizing the price with Samsung MX Division. A new report sheds light on one important point: the price as well as the impact on buyers.

According to Chosun, Exynos 2600 will cost up to $30 cheaper than Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Samsung. The System LSI Business is renegotiating the pricing with the MX Division as the launch timeline is approaching.

The report suggests there was a need for price renegotiation for the next phase of chip supplies. The MX Division will source the chipset based on the reactions of consumers and mobile carriers, where the Exynos 2600 to be used.

The exact price of the Exynos wasn’t revealed in the report, but it will save Samsung $20 to $30 each unit compared to the Snapdragon. It will boost Samsung’s profitability as well as DS Division revenue, but users get nothing.

Galaxy S26 buyers who will get Exynos inside won’t see any direct savings. Despite an affordable chip being used, the price will likely remain unchanged. It’s all about ramping up profits for the two Samsung business divisions.

Samsung is rumored to launch Exynos models in key markets such as Korea, Asia, and Europe. North American countries will get Snapdragon-powered flagships, as always, while the Ultra is entirely avoiding Exynos.

The success of Exynos 2600 will decide the future of System LSI and Foundry businesses. Samsung’s 2nm process has reportedly reached a 50 to 60 percent yield rate, and improvements are still being made.
