A Request: Please Stop Spreading Misleading Ideas About LLMs and AI I've noticed many anti-AI posts here, similar to what you see on r/technology. It seems some of this sentiment might be tied to changing political allegiances, with some even appearing to want Western AI to fail.

The irony is that many of the people posting these criticisms are likely using the very same Western-developed LLMs in their jobs and daily lives. I understand this might be an unpopular opinion and may get downvoted. It often feels like nuanced discussion is difficult on Reddit, and using certain words can lead to immediate dismissal. This message is primarily for those who are also optimistic about LLMs.

I urge you to be skeptical of many anti-AI posts. There seems to be a trend of "karma farming" by highlighting any instance where a company fails to replace jobs with an LLM. These posts get upvoted regardless of whether they represent the full picture. As a result, these narratives stay visible and spread disinformation across the platform.

Again, it's likely the same people who publicly criticize AI are privately using tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. AI is not going anywhere. Just as the internet recovered and became essential after the dot-com bubble, LLMs and AI agents will become a deeply integrated part of our online lives.

A few years ago, I had no legal or financial knowledge to start my own business. That information was gated behind expensive courses, specialists, and university degrees. AI is making that gated knowledge accessible, and this seems to frighten some people. The expertise that took decades to acquire is now available to almost everyone.

So, they come here and try to discourage others from using it, claiming it's unreliable, unethical, or simply doesn't work.

I am not worried about a potential "bubble" because LLMs have already made so much possible. I now have access to knowledge that helps me avoid being overcharged or misled by specialists.

You will likely see comments below this post that fit this description. They are usually easy to spot.

Sustainable abundance is going to happen, how much you karma farm your comment for fake reddit points to please the sheep and "bubble" you live in.
